Hitting Health Goals

Hey, just wanted to let my readers know that a couple of weeks ago, I started pushing myself to eliminate the carbs and work out more. It’s working. I am already down 8 lbs.

I am using the P90x plan for workout. My goal each day is just to push play. I figure if I make it through the warmup I will most likely work out all the way to the end. I definitely have had days where I don’t make it through the workout. I think I was at least a week in before I actually finished a complete workout.

As far as diet goes, I am using the 50/30/20 concept. 50 per cent of my calories are from protein, 30 per cent is fats and 20 per cent is carbs. This is helping me deplete my glycogen levels and burn off the excess fat. I have to say, I feel like you have to get comfortable being uncomfortable. It’s been a bit of challenge and falling out of zone has been a bit nerve wracking. But, I jump back on the bandwagon as soon as I can.

I figure I am always just one meal away from clean eating again. It’s kind of hard not to self sabotage when you feel like you just blew. You know that mindset that says, “Well, I just blew it. I might as well indulge.”  There is definitely some bad juju on that one.

Gotta move out of that place fast. Like Fast and the Furious. God I love that movie.

So where are you at today? Are you in the zone or out of the zone? You are always just one meal from getting back on track. I love the fact that I have been able to shed these few pounds while not sacrificing my health in the process.
